C. Jakarta Water Resources Dredges River at Six Points

Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency remains accelerating mud dredging at six points of Ciliwung River flow.

The mud height is between two and three meters

The Sub-agency's Drainage Maintenance Section Head, Citrin Indriati explained the dredging locations are Pasar Baru on Jalan Juanda up to Pasar Baru Pedestrian Bridge and continued to Air Mancur along 500 meters.

Then from Jembatan Merah up to Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta along 350 meters. Manggarai up to Kanal Banjir Barat which is divided into two segments namely Ciliwung River flow from Manggarai to Jalan Sukabumi, Menteng Tunggulun along 800 meters.

Also dredging of Ciliwung River flow on Jalan Tenaga Listrik, Tanah Abang up to Jalan KS Tubun heading to KBB flow.

Next is dredging at Harmoni Traffic Light up to Jalan Veteran along 450 meters and behind Makostrad TNI along 150 meters.

"The mud height is between two and three meters," she said, Friday (7/11).

According to him, this dredging is to increase the capacity of the Ciliwung River which flows through Central Jakarta so that it can accommodate rainwater flow from residential and connecting channels.

Citrin added that her side involves dozens of heavy equipment and dumptruck.
